Johnson Partnership, The

Established in 1979, The Johnson Partnership is located in the Roosevelt Neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. We are licensed to practice architecture in Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii and have designed projects in a wide range of locations in these states. In addition to our architectural services we provide environmental planning and historic resources consulting.

The Johnson Partnership was founded by Northwest native Larry E. Johnson, AIA, with the idea of serving residential clients who were interested in timeless residential design that would add value to their lives, while emphasizing quality over size, and comfort and warmth over pretension.

Larry’s interest and expertise in history, as well as traditional building forms and techniques, also brings greater depth to the firm, allowing the firm to assist with appropriate stewardship of older homes, ranging from Craftsman bungalows to Tudor mansions. We are, however, equally comfortable with new construction, state-of-the art technology, and contemporary design.

Historic Resources consulting is one of our specialty services. We have extensive experience with historic resources, both in support of our architecture and environmental planning services, and for specific consulting needs. We have working knowledge of the Secretary of the lnterior6s3tandards and National Trust preservation protocols. We have coordinated with public port districts, maritime organizations, and federal, state and local governments and agencies. Our Historic Resources services include local landmark and national historic register nominations, historic resource surveys and structures reports, and architectural preservation services.
