Join us on Zoom on October 21 at 5:00pm for the Washington Trust’s Annual Members meeting! Bring your snacks, pour your drinks, and put on your work-from-home uniform to hear about preservation highlights from the past year, as strange of a year as it has been.

We’ll start off with some organizational business, reviewing the Washington Trust’s activities and accomplishments throughout 2020 and presenting the slate of nominees recommended to serve on the Washington Trust Board of Directors beginning in 2021. Attendees will have a chance to learn more about these prospective board members and to vote on their induction.

Afterwards, in honor of the Women’s Suffrage Centennial, we’re proud to have as a special guest speaker Cynthia Tucker, President of Tacoma City Association of Colored Women’s Clubs and Historian of Asberry Culture Club. In addition to speaking about the organizations she is affiliated with, Cynthia will provide a short presentation about Nettie Asberry, one of the founding members of the Tacoma Chapter of the NAACP and a major figure in Tacoma and Washington State civil rights history.

All members and friends of the Washington Trust are invited to attend this free virtual event. Click below to register via Zoom.
